1. WHAT WE COLLECT
- Account: username, email address, password (stored only as a salted hash — we
never see or store your actual password).
- Payment details you choose to save: bank or mobile-money account numbers and
the account holder name, so counterparties can pay you.
- Trading data: offers, orders, amounts, rates, ratings, and trade chat messages.
- Wallet data: your Voltex deposit address, deposit and withdrawal records, and
the blockchain addresses you withdraw to.
- Technical: IP address and basic request logs, used for security and abuse
prevention.
2. WHY WE USE IT
To operate your account, run trades and escrow, credit deposits, process
withdrawals, resolve appeals, prevent fraud and abuse, and meet legal
obligations.
3. WHO SEES WHAT
Your counterparty in a trade sees your username, trading statistics, the payment
details needed to pay you, and your chat messages in that trade. Other users see
only your username and public statistics. The operator can see order chats when
reviewing an appeal. We do not sell your data.
4. BLOCKCHAIN DATA IS PUBLIC AND PERMANENT
Deposits and withdrawals happen on public blockchains. Transactions and addresses
are visible to anyone, forever, and cannot be deleted by us or by you.
5. RETENTION
We keep trading, wallet, and dispute records for as long as required for legal,
accounting, and dispute purposes, and typically longer than your account itself.
Closing your account does not erase completed financial records.
6. SECURITY
Passwords are hashed with scrypt. Sessions use signed tokens. The platform holds
only a watch-only public key on the server; the keys controlling deposit funds
are kept offline. No system is perfectly secure — use a strong, unique password.
7. YOUR CHOICES
You may view and update your account details and saved payment methods in the
app, and request deletion of data we are not required to keep by contacting us
at support@voltexp2p.com.
8. CHILDREN
Voltex is not for anyone under 18.
9. CHANGES
We will post any update with a new date above.
