1. WHAT VOLTEX IS
Voltex is a peer-to-peer marketplace where users buy and sell the USDT
stablecoin for Ethiopian Birr (ETB). Voltex is not a bank, not a money
transmitter on your behalf, and not a party to any trade between users.
2. ACCOUNTS
You must be at least 18 and provide accurate information. You are responsible
for your password and everything done through your account. One person, one
account. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms.
3. HOW A TRADE WORKS
The seller's USDT is held in escrow by Voltex when a trade opens. The buyer
sends ETB directly to the seller using the payment details shown in the trade.
When the seller confirms receipt, Voltex releases the USDT to the buyer, less
the trade fee. ETB payments happen outside Voltex and are entirely between the
two users; Voltex never receives, holds, or transmits ETB.
4. PAYMENT WINDOW
If the buyer does not mark payment within the payment window shown in the trade,
the order is cancelled automatically and the escrow returns to the seller.
Marking payment when you have not actually paid is fraud and will get you banned.
5. FEES
Voltex charges a fee on each completed trade, shown before you confirm. Network
fees for deposits and withdrawals are separate and set by the blockchain.
6. CUSTODY OF USDT
USDT balances shown in your Voltex wallet are held by the operator on your
behalf. You may withdraw available (non-escrowed) balances at any time, subject
to limits and review. Deposits are credited after confirmation on the relevant
blockchain. Sending any asset other than USDT, or using the wrong network, will
result in permanent loss that we cannot reverse.
7. APPEALS
Either party may open an appeal during an active order. The operator reviews the
trade chat and any evidence provided and decides the outcome, releasing the
escrow to one party. This decision is final within Voltex. It is a private
dispute process, not arbitration or a court, and does not limit your legal rights.
8. PROHIBITED USE
No money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud, stolen funds, or trading on
behalf of a third party. No off-platform deals to evade fees. No abusive or
threatening messages. We may report unlawful activity to authorities.
9. NO WARRANTY, LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Voltex is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator
is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, losses caused by your own
error (wrong address, wrong network, releasing before payment arrives), or by
events outside our control. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully
be excluded.
10. CHANGES AND TERMINATION
We may change these terms and will post the updated date above. Continued use
means acceptance. You may close your account at any time after withdrawing your
balance.
11. GOVERNING LAW
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Democratic Republic of
Ethiopia, and the courts of Addis Ababa have jurisdiction.
